Key messages

Seamless climate predictions bridge the gap between weather predictions and long-term climate projections, providing insights across timescales to support effective decision-making.

The ASPECT project seeks to advance Europe’s capability to deliver actionable climate predictions by enhancing models, improving data assimilation, and fostering meaningful exchanges across scientific, policy, and practical application domains. By integrating state-of-the-art science and user-focused approaches, ASPECT aims to empower society with reliable, high-resolution and tailored forecasts.

To this end, the project is holding the third edition of its annual User Forum on 25 to 27 March 2025, an event dedicated to innovation, collaboration and advancing future climate information.

This three-day event, focusing on “Advancing climate adaptation with seamless and tailored climate predictions”, explores the latest seasonal-to-decadal prediction science and its real-world applications. It consists of three sessions, dedicated to users and providers of climate services, as well as wider stakeholders and citizens.
