From research to practice

How the MAIA project triumphs with a little help from its friends
With climate change accelerating faster than predicted, trying to take action is like trying to predict the future. Information changes so fast that it’s hard to keep up, and that’s even before you get into trying to sort fact from fiction….
From policymakers to businesses to citizens, we urgently need access to reliable climate insights to take decisions. But with information siloed, inaccessible or hard to use, that’s often easier said than done.
Enter the EU-funded MAIA project, at whose heart is a bold commitment to ensure cutting-edge climate adaptation research makes it off the page and into practice.
In our latest interview, we caught up with Alex de la Cruz of Aquatec and leader of the MAIA Ambassadors programme. He explained how, with the help of leading multi-sectoral figures, they’re breaking down complex climate science into practical, easily understood insights—so people can take action.
Learn how MAIA empowers you to stay one step ahead of climate change.
